Hey guys! Like my super creative title? Sorry, I just couldn’t think of anything else to call it!
I think Courtney was onto something when she created the October Yoga Challenge, because GrowSoulBeautiful is also hosting one! October must be the month for yoga. I am loving it!
I just found out about this GrowSoulBeautiful challenge a few days ago, so I missed most of the poses. For this challenge, you can post a photo of yourself doing each asana (pose) on twitter using the hashtag #YogaADay. Since It is pretty tricky to take selfies in yoga poses, I think I will participate by doing each daily pose and focusing on my form.
Here’s how I did so far for Courtney’s yoga challenge.
Week 1:
Wednesday: 1 hour PiYo class
Thursday: 10 minute Yoga session at home
Friday: 10 minute Yoga session at home
Week 2:
Monday: 1 hour yoga class
Tuesday: 1 hour 15 min heated vinyasa class
Wednesday: 1 hour PiYo class
As you can see I’m doing a lot better for week 2! I’ve already got my 3 sessions in!
I’m going to Vermont this weekend for a getaway with friends, so I don’t know how much yoga or exercise I will get in. I’m bringing my mat, so I might get a few minutes in during the morning since I am usually the first person awake. I am such a morning person. I’m hoping to take a lot of pictures while I’m up there because I know it is going to be beautiful. I lovermont in the Fall!
Today was the second to last pick up for my CSA share. I’m getting pretty sad about it ending! I already talked about my mixed feelings about it a few weeks ago, but now I think I am feeling more sad than relieved. What will I do without all this fresh produce? Also, I think fall fruits and veggies are my favorites so it’s even more sad. I love getting apples, squash, potatoes, and pumpkin. All good things must come to an end.
Along with the usual stuff, they were also selling strawberry corn down at the co-op. I’ve never heard of it, but it looked really cute, and I wished I had a porch or mailbox to decorate with it. I walked to and from the co-op today, and it was about 2.65 miles. I’m counting that for as my exercise for the day. I’m really enjoying my less intense/gentler workouts lately!
I’m off to eat the most orange dinner possible: roasted carrots, sweet potatoes and cauliflower, served on quinoa! Bring on the beta-carotene!
Have a good weekend! I’ll be back on Monday!

beautiful pictures!
