Hello! Hope you had a nice weekend! I just wanted to pop in and do a quick weekend recap. I had a lovely weekend in Vermont, and now I’m back and ready to blog.
It was so nice to get away with my friends where no one had cell service, cable, or internet to distract them. I even stepped away from the camera (for the most part) and just enjoyed being up there without documenting everything. It’s so easy for me to fall into the blogger mindset of omg-must-photograph-everything-I-eat! The weekend was a much needed change of pace!
I brought my yoga mat and running gear up in hopes of sneaking in a workout or two. I ended up going for a 25 min run the first morning we were there. When I woke up, the sun was shining, the air was crisp, and the country dirt roads were calling to me! I struggled during this run for a few reasons:
1. The air was colder than I was used to
2. There were hills in every direction
3. I may have been slightly hung over
After getting in this quick sweat session I felt 100000x better and I enjoyed my huge breakfast even more! I didn’t work out again for the rest of the weekend, but I did go on a few walks. I spent the rest of my time relaxing, eating, and drinking.
All the leaves were at their peak, so it was very beautiful up there. The house has a two person swing on the porch which is overlooking a huge field with mountains in the background. It is so relaxing to sit out there with your morning coffee, or your evening glass of wine. The theme of this weekend seemed to be total relaxation for me, and it was exactly what I needed!
Now that I’m home and back to the grind, here are my workouts for the week:
Monday: 1 hour yoga class
Tuesday: OFF
Wednesday: 1 hour yoga class
Thursday: Run?
Friday: Yoga? Jillian Michaels DVD?
Saturday: Body pump
Sunday: 1 hour Vinyasa yoga
I am absolutely loving this yoga challenge! Can you tell?
How was your weekend? Have you ever been to Vermont?
Super jealous of your weekend! Sounds absolutely wonderful. I need to get my butt to yoga today, it’s been almost 6 months since my last class
I used to go 4 days a week! AH!

That’s awesome you used to go 4 times a week! that’s what I’m trying to do now, and it’s kinda hard to commit to an hour long class. I really need more hours in the day!
wow check out those pictures…. beautiful! Glad to see you had a great time!

Hi! What a great weekend- total relaxation! I have been to Vermont, but I’m hoping to go back soon! I’m nursing an ankle injury, so your running makes me jealous! I’m going back to the Dr today, so I’m going to ask if I can do yoga!!

Thanks Alex, I went to school in Vermont too! Does your friend go to UVM? The fall is amazing there, but the winter will kill you!

Sometime we all need weekends to unplug! Lovely pics. Vermont is so beautiful in the fall, but I also love it during winter
